Lari Seltzer and Josh Bortman, the duo team behind Bainbridge Island’s premiere
beauty & lifestyle boutique, PrettyStick Beauty, have been business
“partners in crime” for over 20 years. Their passion for healthy living lead
them to open PrettyStick Beauty to educate people that health doesn’t just stop
at eating right and exercise.
“We opened PrettyStick because we wanted to facilitate an easy outlet
for people to make safe and exceptional choices about what they put on their
bodies. There's a pretty widespread understanding that we all need to eat
healthy food these days, and the understanding that we all need to use healthy
products on our bodies is following fast” says owner Lari Seltzer.

asked Lari what she loves most about Seatbeltbags:
“Um, everything! But
seriously, my favorite thing about Harveys is the juxtaposition of the basic
ingredient turned into such an elegant-end product! My first bag was a fancy
clutch that I bought to go to a wedding… and every bag I've bought since has
been a Seatbeltbag! I’m a lifer!”

Beauty is this year’s “Let the Fans Decide” Limited Edition Release Party
contest winner. October 12th through the 14th PrettyStick
will host the “party of all parties” to celebrate Dana Harveys trip to
Washington to launch all-new Limited Edition Seatbeltbags.
What
can attendees expect? Lari breaks down the list of events:
The LTD launch will
start Friday night at the VIP party where our guests can expect AMAZING food
(like amazing!), great wine (& bubbles), cocktails, fun music to dance to, Halloween
hoodwinks and costume contests, games and prizes, and the piece de resistance,
DANA! Limited VIP tickets are still available, so be sure to grab yours!
At the actual
release on Saturday morning, we'll be plying people with more food (duh), live
music, henna tattoos, tarot readings, a classic car show, and the cutest LTDs
ever!!!! (trust us, we got a sneak peek)
Lastly on Sunday,
we're making free waffles (sooo gooood) at PrettyStick, as well as hosting a
bag swap! Bring any Harveys Seatbeltbags you want trade!
As
if all that isn’t enough, Bainbridge Island also has amazing things to do!
Bainbridge Island
is a WONDERFUL place to visit! It is a fun 30-minute ferry ride from downtown
Seattle.
The local playhouse
is doing a production of Tommy; all shows usually sell out, so if you're
interested, act fast! Bainbridge is also filled with pretty beaches, lakes and
parks and is the perfect place for a bike ride (easily rented on the island). There’s
also fun restaurants, a sweet old Indy theater, wineries, farms, an organic
distillery, a brand new brewery, and of course, tons of unique shopping.
Dana
is pumped to visit Seattle and Bainbridge Island, and all the peeps at
PrettyStick.
