Celebrating 5 years of FBJ

To celebrate the 5th release of Forever Blue Jeans I decided to take a look back at the releases we've had over the years.

The first Forever Blue Jeans Seatbeltbag was released in 2008 and was a Large Satchel.

Our fans loved Forever Blue Jeans so much that in 2009 we came out with a whole collection featuring the Medium Boat Tote, Large Boat Tote, Boxy, Large Satchel, and Convertible Tote.

In 2011 Forever Blue Jeans was released in the fun Moxy silhouette with a matching Moxy clutch wallet.

And last year, in 2012, we released a modified Large Satchel, Convertible Tote, and Clutch Wallet.

Finally this year Forever Blue Jeans was released in the Medium Plaza Tote and a brand new silhouette, the Convertible Plaza Tote.

It's crazy to think that there have been 5 Forever Blue Jeans releases. I can't wait for you guys to see what's in store for next year.

Cheers Big Ears, to 85 years!

In the spirit of Valentine's Day I thought I'd take a more in-depth look at the cutest couple around, Mickey and Minnie Mouse!

I did a little research and found out that Mickey wouldn't be anything without Minnie! When Mickey was first introduced by Disney in 1928 he wasn't as big as Disney expected, so they added Minnie into the mix and they've been together ever since... almost 85 years!

Most of the Harveys for Disney Couture collections we've created have been dedicated to this adorable couple and Holiday 2012 was no exception with Mickey and Minnie in Love.

The Mickey & Minnie in Love collection included this adorable Carriage Ring Tote. The sketch of Minnie giving Mickey a kiss on the cheek is too cute! And the notebook paper background makes it looks like the artist drew right on the bag. As if the bag wasn't cute enough, the interior features red Harveys monogrammed lining with a silkscreen of Mickey and Minnie smoochin'.

Also included in the collection is this all over print with ruled paper background, black sketches of Mickey and Minnie, and little red hearts to top it off. This collection also includes the adorable red Harveys monogrammed lining with a silkscreen of Mickey and Minnie Smoochin' and a special heart-shaped dangle with an image of Mickey and Minnie hugging.

Here's to 85 more years Mickey & Minnie!

We ran into a Seatbeltbag fan at the Barrett Jackson Auto Auction last week and she showed us a picture of her AWESOME license plate! We thought it was so cool we had to share it with you!

We also asked her to send a picture of her and her Seatbeltbag.

She sent us this one of her and her daughter showing off their "current" favorite Seatbeltbags!

And one of her strickin' a pose with the Harveys airstream at the race.

Tough Love 2013

Our Tough Love 2013 release was a so much fun!

This year we changed it up a little and had release parties at both our Santa Ana and Chino Hills retail stores.

What's your favorite app?

The other day I was showing off my favorite app Toobz and it got me thinking... I wonder what everyone's favorite app is in the office? I decided to ask around and found out about some awesome apps!

Our Associate Designer, Cheryl, is a little obsessed with the My Fitness Pal app. "My Fitness Pal is my favorite app on the iPhone. Not only does this app let me keep my diet on track with friends, it also tells me how many calories to eat each day and has an extensive library of the foods I eat stored in it. The best part is that is tracks how many calories I burn while working out!"

Our President, Joe, is always playing music from Pandora. "There is a station for all occasions, that's why I love Pandora. I use it when entertaining, working, relaxing, working out, etc."

Our Marketing Assistant, Amanda, is always making collages with her Diptic app. "Diptic is my favorite app! I love that I can put my pictures from whatever I'm doing all together in one collage. This puts all my memories together in one image. It's the perfect way to show my pictures off!"

Our Operations Coordinator, Irene, loves instagram. "I LOVE instagram because I love to take pictures! And I like all the different filters and that I can share my photos."

Our Chief Operations officer, Nicole, is loving the Mint iPhone app. "This app is amazing! It helps me to monitor my finances, budget, and savings goals. I am more responsible with saving money when I have a handle on what I'm spending."

Our National Sales Representative, Allison, is addicted to Shazam. "I'm always downloading new songs from my playlist. Music fuels the sales team who is always playing it nice and loud!"

As I mentioned before, my favorite app is Toobz. I just like zoning out and playing this silly game, it keeps my mind busy so I can think.

So, I gotta ask, what's your favorite app?

Just sitting in Atlanta airport and realized just how many of your products we brought with us. This doesn't include the two other wallets at home and the other smaller bag.

Instagram Recap: December 2012

December was one busy month at Harveys! We had our last First Friday of the year with the release of Chestnut, Stripely, Croc, Disney's Mickey and Minnie in Love, and our last 15th Anniversary Seatbeltbag, the 15th Anniversary Minnie Wristlet.

We also collaborated with my friend Noah with the release of a VERY exclusive Seatbeltbag and artwork on 12.12.12 where we had a great time with our awesome Harveys fans and met some new friends. I had a great time making an appearance on Good Day Sacramento promoting Harveys. And of course we celebrated the Holiday's with family and friends! I hope you enjoy this look back at Harveys December Instagram photos.

Tough Love's Lovely Retrospect

The 2013 Tough Love Seatbeltbag release is fast approaching, so to get you in the spirit we though we'd take a look back at the Tough Love Seatbeltbags that have been released over the past 7 years.

In 2005 Melanie and I came up with the idea to create a Valentine's Day themed Seatbeltbag. After thinking about what to name the bag, a light bulb went off and Tough Love it was. It's a Guaranteed Tough Seatbeltbag in a mixed pallet of Valentine's Day hues, how perfect!
