American Movie Classics

Nothing captures the glamour of old Hollywood like Black and White. The rich tones of white, black and grays highlight the mood of the era of elegance.

We've started collecting some of the old Hollywood Classics on DVD. They are so inspiring.

LTD Edition Release Party Spring 2011

Here's a few pictures from the Spring 2011 LTD Release Party
After much anticipation the new LTD's were revealed at 10am.
Blackberry...
and She Sells Seashells.
Christopher and Karla unveiled the new LTDs to those in line.
It's always a treat to have visitors from out of town. These girls flew in from Missouri and Chicago.
Lily hitching a ride on Momma's back
Christine and Company looking fabulous even though they spent the night in line outside in the rain.
It's always a treat to see all of the past LTD bags. It's kind of like a family reunion.
Boys & Berries - Queen of Hearts
Jean Genie - Cupcake
JoAnn and her daughter often make it out to these events, and this time her hubby Scott joined them. Their daughter won an Emerald Large Tote in the raffle.
Everyone gathered around on the second floor to play our "emoticon" game
Everyone received a packet with a bunch of emoticons.
If they matched the ones that Malia drew, they received a raffle ticket to win one of 3 bags
Delores and Krystal
This T-shirt cracked me up. Ding Dong the Witch is Dead. Get it?
Nicole was serving yummy Brownies.
Angel and her lucky mom, who managed to dodge earthquakes in The Philippines and Japan, (she was there and left just before they hit)  won this Cobalt Convertible Tote.
These sisters were so adorable. Mom's getting them started early.
Loving the rosette on the Stella.
Sandie looking good with her "Death or Glory" Sid bag. Digging the fancy sneakers too (Mandarin, Maliblu and Apple Green).
Jill, looking good and coincidentally her outfit was perfectly color coordinated to match her BlackBerry CT. Even her Converse matched.
Heather looking very happy, even though she lost her diamond pendant the night before while she was in line. If anyone happened to find it please contact info@seatbeltbags.com
The Kruz family drove all the way from Tucson, Arizona. Dave waited in line since 10am the day before.
For me the best part about these events is to see the friendships that have developed through their love of Seatbeltbags. Thank you everyone for making this a fun event. I hope you enjoy the new LTD's as much as we enjoyed designing and making them.

Early Bird Special

We just got back from a visit to the Santa Ana Store, where we hung out with the early birds waiting for the LTD release tomorrow.
Dave is in line for his wife and was there at 10am this morning. Wow, what an awesome hubby. Everyone had their chairs and blankets and looked like they were ready for a fun night. See you in the morning.
Check out Coco's eyes. Crazy.

Home

The bond between a father and daughter is like no other. I came across this touching video on you tube. So awesome.

Happy Friday everyone. We're all very excited for the LTD release tomorrow.

Disney Creative Workshop 2012

Here's a few pictures from our visit to the Disney Creative Workshop in Burbank.
They invited a few of their partners, myself included, to decorate a Mickey Vinyl figure.
They chose 3 winners and unfortunately mine wasn't one of them. The competition was tough. Here's a few close-ups of my favorites.
Here's our Paint by Numbers Mickey
 Cupcake Mickey was very clever
This was the 2nd place winner.
I loved the one that Thermos did.
Fabulous
They created this giant wall of post-its and invited us to sign one.

It was so inspiring working with the Disney Team. We have some great new ideas that I hope you'll love.
CHEERS BIG EARS!

Rod & Custom

A couple of weeks ago I blogged about how excited Melanie was when she discovered the Harveys for Barbie  bags in the Barbie Collector Catalog. Well that moment came for me when I discovered my hotrod had made it to the cover of Rod & Custom magazine for the April 2011 Issue.
They wrote a great article too. My good friend Jimmy White of Circle City Hotrods did the work which took almost 4 years.
To read the article and see more photos go HERE
ROD & Custom is one of my favorite Magazines. It's been around since the 50's.
I'll be driving it out to the LTD event this Saturday so keep your eyes peeled.

Hui Designs

Hui designs some amazing custom jewelry. She just gave HARVEYS a little plug on her Blog. Thanks Hui, I'm glad you loving your Boat Totes and keep up the great work.

IKEA

We needed some picture frames for a project we're doing so we headed down to IKEA.
Right when we pulled up we spotted this Mother to be wearing her Barbie Boat Tote so we said Hi and asked if we could snap a pic for the Blog. BTW, She's expecting a girl.
They have a great selection of frames, perfect for our project.
We needed a variety of different sizes and styles.
I really liked the rounded corners on these.
They also have some great decorative art and posters.
After we checked out we headed to the cafe for a hotdog and ice cream.
Bye-Bye
