Located on Broadway and Fourth in the heart of the historic artist district, Rags is a reminder of a time when media was something tactile. We're all about the interwebs, but it's hard to beat the feeling of flipping through a physical magazine or booklet.
Dana didn't get the name of the guy behind the counter, but the musically-inclined Rags employee gave Dana & Lily a saxophone run-down and an awesome tip: to check out Tootsie Ice Cream, one block away.
Who knew? Tootsie is a hidden gem. The small walk-up ice-cream shop (with a hot pink door) is located in historic brick building off of Third St. In no time at all, Dana and Lily were enjoying shave ice, sorbet and Persian ice cream.
Lily was pretty inspired by eating lime sorbet under pink lights. Reading design mags? Not so much.
