What's your favorite color? Part 2

Thank you so much for all your great comments about your favorite past colors and colors you'd like to see.
Each season we develop new Prints and Colors and they are unique and only used by us. Once we sell out of a color or print it's pretty much gone forever, unless we get a lot of requests, then we'll bring them back again.

I get a lot of questions about our past prints and colors and what they're called and frankly even I get confused sometimes. So for your sake and mine, here they are...
Green with Envy
Purple Heart
Tickled Pink
Feeling Blue
Down with Brown
Every Cloud has a Silver Lining
Orange you glad I didn't say Banana
Flower Power
Shape Up
Animal Attraction
The Classics

I have to admit there are a few missing here but it's a good start. We're constantly adding new colors and prints so this is a "work in progress"

I know it's stating the obvious but we use actual "seatbelt" from the suppliers to Ford, GM and Chrysler and it's made right here in the USA.

When we first started making bags we couldn't create custom colors because we had to order way more yardage than what we could ever sell so we had to use the leftover seatbelt from the auto industry. As we grew and sold more bags we were able to order enough seatbelt to meet the minimums of the manufacturers. Our very first Custom Color was "Cotton Candy".

Seatbelt is stain resistant, fade resistant and heat resistant which makes it very difficult to print on. It took almost 2 years of development to figure out how to do it right. Our very first print was "Seatbelt Bug".

Seatbelt Car?

13 years ago when I first thought of weaving seatbelt to create a bag for Melanie, I never thought it would become a fashion statement. Seems now it's hitting the streets too. A friend emailed me this car that he spotted on core77.com.
Artists Ann Conte and Jeanne Wiley covered an MG Midget in a weave of overstock seatbelt material and crafted seats made of Corian donated by DuPont. I think they did a great job.

Fox Phoenix

We Jetted out to Phoenix for Melanie's TV appearance on Fox Phoenix to talk about our Tree-cycle bags and some of our other favorite "Green" products.
We flew out of John Wayne Airport, Santa Ana.
John Wayne Airport takes off into the Pacific Ocean offering an amazing view of Orange County.
My tray table reminded me of the bumper stickers we are making
Hanging out with The Simpsons in the Lobby of Fox Studios, Phoenix.
We arranged our bags along with the other products. Watch her TV spot below.

Long Beach Grand Prix

This morning I drove the HARVEYS van out to set up for the Long Beach Grand Prix. I couldn't resist taking a few pics of the van on the race track. Hmmm. maybe one day we'll have a HARVEYS race car.
The HARVEYS van is a 1965 Ford Econoline that was built for us by Edog. It was built to celebrate our 10 year anniversary in 2007. It definitely gets lots of looks where ever it goes.
We'll be out at the Long Beach Grand Prix all weekend so if you're going, stop by and say hello and check out the HARVEYS Van. We're right under the Giant Whale painting. We'll have some fun activities and we'll be selling bags too.

What's your favorite color?

If you got our email newsletter yesterday you probably noticed the "Let Your Mood Decide" color chart. It got me thinking about all of the different colors that we've done over the years.

Do you have a favorite color that we've done in the past or perhaps one that you'd like to see? I would love to know, just post your favs in the comments.

HARRRRVEYS

My sister-in-law, Alex works on the sales team and sometimes brings my nephew, Maverick to work with her. One day he saw us working on the rope totes with the different Nautical themes (Anchor, Helm, etc..) and suggested we do a Pirate version. We kind of laughed at first but then we loved the idea. So thanks for the good idea Maverick.
It's available in the Large size to fit all of your "Loot". We've had a lot of requests for a medium size, what do you girls think?
Jenny Tibbetts emailed us with this picture she took of hers with her own little spin. Not such a big bad pirate now are you? Very cute.

big enough for all your Loot and small children.

HAPPY EASTER

We couldn't resist putting bunny ears on our newest member of the HARVEYS team, Charlie Brown.
Then we went outside for a quick photo shoot. We managed to get a little work done on Good Friday.
HAPPY EASTER.

Vacation Picture Contest Winner

With almost 200 submissions it was really hard to pick just one. There were so many great locations some as far away as Sydney, Australia and some as close as the local Kwik-E-Mart (7-11) it was so awesome to see that your HARVEYS bag really does go EVERYWHERE with you. And the winner is...
Mari Hassan with her Paint by Numbers Boat Tote on her honeymoon in Isla Mujeres, Mexico. In her wedding vows she included... "and all of my seatbeltbags". Congratulations Mari, not just for winning this one-of-a-kind Bon Voyage Rope Tote but for finding a man that's willing to put up with your seatbeltbag habit.
There were so many great pictures I thought I would share a few. A big thanks to everyone that sent in pics.
